Abstract 1.0 Purpose: To outline the procedure to be followed in the maintenance of all major and/or critical equipment/facilities in such a way to prevent malfunctioning/unacceptable conditions that could adversely affect testing accuracy and reliability. 2.0 Scope: The procedure set out in this SOP applies to all key testing and support equipment, utilities and facilities in the Quality Control Laboratory. 3.0 Responsibility: 3.1 The assigned Officer(s) is responsible for following this procedure. 3.2 The Head of unit is responsible for enforcing the implementation of this procedure. 3.3 The Head of Laboratory with functional support of the QA Manager is responsible for ensuring full compliance with this procedure
