Describes the procedure for management of risks and opportunities arising from different processes, activities and operations. It also includes the processes and procedures to be used in the identification, analysis, quantification, mitigation, escalation, documentation and communication of the risks.
Abstract
1.0 PURPOSE To describe the procedure for management of risks and opportunities arising from different processes, activities and operations. It also includes the processes and procedures to be used in the identification, analysis, quantification, mitigation, escalation, documentation and communication of the risks. 2.0 SCOPE It applies to all types of risk that would be identified by the Risk Management team i.e. Quality Risk (risk affecting the achievement of the Quality objectives of the Organization) and Safety Risk (risk affecting the wellbeing of each individual in the Lab). 3.0 RESPONSIBILITY 3.1 The head of the institution shall be responsible for the overall implementation of this procedure. 3.2 The risk management team shall be responsible for the identification of processes and activities that pose potential risk, reporting, investigating, control, review and closure of the risk assessment. 3.3 The Laboratory QAM shall be responsible for facilitating and evaluating the adequacy of risk assessment and its management.
